 Friday night meal before the rush 
have ordered many a take away from this restaurant so decided to dine in (only 1 other table occupied but it was half 6), had a mixed started for 2 which was nice, popadoms which came with a chutney tray plus a home made sauce which was delicious, main course was chicken tikka massalla and a chicken rogan josh, both served hot and very tasty. Would certainly dine here again, not the cheapest but food was good.

Amazing!! Both food & Service
Couldn't have asked for better quality food with a lovely atmosphere. We took our 2 year old and the staff were so welcoming. An improvement from the old Mumtaz. Am definitely recommending this one!!

Great Indian Restaurant on the Kettering road
We love this place. We have eaten in most of the Indians in Northampton and the Mumtaz is as good as any, and better than most.
Relaxed atmosphere, spotlessly clean and KC (think that's his name) is a great host. He knows what customer service is about.
They are happy to alter a dish to suit your tastes (I don't like fresh tomatoes, but do like dishes with fresh chillies in, no problem)
The food is great value for money and really good. In some Indians, it is hard to tell the difference between dishes, not the case here. Each dish has it's own distinct flavours.
Because we use it midweek, parking is not an issue, although I would imagine it could be a problem at weekends.
I don't work at the Mumtaz, don't have a financial interest in it, just love good Indian food and great service

Very Good Food
We ordered a takeaway from here , having never tried them out.
We loved the food. Very well cooked and the portions were perfect.
Will definatly try these again.

Very good food - very friendly service - ditch the bottle cooler !
These guys really go the extra mile to make customers feel welcome - all staff very friendly. The food is of an equally high standard - obviuosly very fresh herbs and spices.
Our only gripe - the bottle cooler rattles and wheezes like an old steam train - it does intrude on conversation - time to pension it off !

Excellent food and service
The Sunday Buffet was varied and quite delicious. In particular the starters were quite outstanding. Everything is freshly cooked and piping hot.
The restaurant is immaculately clean and has a good ambiance.
Staff are very friendly and provide service of an extremely high standard. Nothing is too much trouble.
We would recommend the New Mumtaz to anyone who enjoys a well-prepared Indian meal in pleasant surroundings with good service.

Excellent
The food is very good, and the service is excellent. The manager remembered us from a couple of months ago and even remembered that we had been on holiday!
